. . .are here! And they brought me presents! Grammy bought me a pretty pearl bracelet with my birthstone in it and Grampy gave me his baby ring (from when he was just a baby). Grammy even had it engraved with a "C"! Auntie Carol sent the most beautiful Christening dress I've ever seen. . .
Is this bag my present? I want to eat it!
A pretty bracelet. . .just for me! =)

1 ACB Color Casing Ceremony
1 CAV is gearing up to deploy and had their color casing ceremony last Wednesday. For all you non-military folks, this ceremony was to pack up the "colors" (flags representing the Brigade and each Battalion within the Brigade) to take on deployment. It was awesome! We enjoyed it in spite of the rain. Caroline especially liked the horses! At the end of the ceremony the horses (and the helicopters) charged. The riders were shooting their guns all across the field. For a second, it was almost like we were in the Old West!

6 Month Well Baby
Caroline had her six month checkup on Wednesday with her new doctor (WE LOVE DR. ALVARADO!). Here are her stats:
4 Month Stats (for comparison)
Height: 25 in.
Weight: 14 lbs, 5 oz
Head circumference: 40.5 cm
6 Month Stats
Height: 26 in. - 50%
Weight: 16 lbs, 3 oz - 50%
Head circumference: 43 cm - 50%
The doc says she is perfect and that she's already exhibiting nine month skills (like sitting up unassisted while using her hands to play with toys). She got 3 shots, but thankfully we had no reactions. Here's some pics. . .

Ducky
Caroline's buddy Gavyn passed his ducky bathtub down to her since he's now too big for it. We tried it out last night. Think she liked it? =)

I'm SIX months old!
Can you believe I'm six months old already? Mommy was just saying earlier how it seemed like only yesterday that she and Daddy were finding out that I was in her tummy. I can now roll over both ways, sit up, laugh lots and babble up a storm (I take after my Daddy and my Grumpy. . .Mommy calls me Jack the Jaws III!). Oh, and Mommy caught me on all fours this morning when she came in to get me. I'll be crawling all over the place before she knows it! I'm drooling like a runny faucet and I'm desperately trying to cut my first tooth! I'm eating all kinds of stuff. . .sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, zucchini, green beans, peas, bananas, peaches and applesauce. I've even tasted icing and a sucker! My favorite food is sweet potatoes and apples and I hate peas! I weigh about 17 1/2 pounds (according to Mommy's scale), but I go to the doctor on the 24th, so we'll know my exact measurements then. I'm Mommy's girl most of the time, but my favorite part of the day (Mommy's, too) is when Daddy comes home! =)

Saying Goodbye. . .
The Stelkers dropped by Saturday morning to say goodbye before they head to Korea. It was a little crazy and I'm ashamed to say that these are the only pictures I got! Alaura had a good time holding Caroline. . .instead of telling Alaura to be gentle with Caroline, I had to remind Caroline to be gentle with Alaura! She's grabbing at and pulling on EVERYTHING these days. . .=)

A precious child needs a miracle. . .
I found a link to this blog (thanks, Brooke) and it completely broke my heart. This couple has already lost one child (stillborn at 37 weeks) and their second, born 2/27/09, has a rare skin disease. This little guy is in the NICU fighting for his life. I can't imagine how this new mother feels, especially with the possibility that she'll go home without a baby in her arms for the second time. Everyone, please say a prayer for this baby. . .he needs us all to lift him up! Thanks!
