Gary Sinise & the LT Dan Band

Saturday was a fun day! Gary Sinise (of Forrest Gump and CSI:NY fame) visited Fort Hood and performed with the Lt. Dan Band. An outdoor showing of Forrest Gump was scheduled for 4:00 with the concert beginning at 7:00. We (Caroline and myself with a large-ish group of ladies and kids) showed up at 3:30 to see the movie. They had it set up in a small tent that would hold about 50 people, so we obviously didn't get to watch it. We opted to sit on our blankets and hang out until the concert started. It turned out to be a blast. Hanging out with adults and enjoying the sunshine was wonderful. Don't worry, we were all slathered in sunscreen (SPF 70!). The concert was amazing...Gary Sinise really has a heart for military members and their families.
